{Koyato} Oblivion

Disclaimer: No owning. Me poor. Can't afford.
Notes: Oh dear. I finally get some motivation to write a fic of some sort of decent length and there are no happies. None. Gah. I'm sorry Shige, why do I keep angsting you? *clings*
Shige’s vision swam as he stumbled backwards, fingers slipping away from the door handle soundlessly. His back hit the wall with a thump; but he never noticed, could never notice, not when all he could see was Kei… Kei and Kusano.. together. Together in the dressing room, where they thought nobody was watching. Kusano in his place, his place, as they kissed, oblivious to the spectator just six feet from the door.
The carpet rushed up to meet him as he fell to his knees, eyes fixed onto that, that, as tears ran in torrents down his cheeks, salt stinging his lips as he tried to choke back a sob.
He could feel footsteps on the floor as he fell further, cheek pressed against the carpet as he desperately pleaded with whoever it was to just go, to just turn around and go and leave him be.
“Sh-Shige..?”
Shige choked, a strangled noise that escaped from his throat as he squeezed his eyes shut, trying, trying so hard, to block out the pain that was clawing at his heart. He felt the person fall to their knees beside him, felt fingers curling softly, almost hesitantly, around his arm, as if afraid that one wrong move, one touch could break him, shatter him into a thousand pieces.
“Shige.. Shige what..?”
He couldn’t understand, none of them could ever understand. What did he do to deserve this? What did he do to deserve this pain and agony that was consuming him, when all he could see was that, that image burnt onto the back of his eyelids.
The fingers tugged, Shige’s soft skin scratching against the rough carpeting as he shook his head, skin tearing and small drops of blood trickling down to his jaw.
“Shige please. Let me help you.”
No. No he didn’t need help. He was fine. Slowly, slowly he allowed those fingers to pull him up off the floor. Slowly he opened his eyes, vision still blurred as tears continued pouring down his cheeks, mixing with the blood and running slowly down his neck.
An intake of breath.
“What -- What happened?”
Oh God. Oh God he wasn’t okay. Not when he could still see them, still see where he should have been but wasn’t. Where he should have been instead of on his knees in the corridor with a cut on his face and tears on his cheeks. And where.. Where was Kusano’s shirt..? Why was it falling, why was it on the floor, why were Kei’s hands slowly moving there?
Shige choked again as another wave of pain washed over him and a single word escaped from his lips.
“Kei…”
But he still never noticed.

I have to add that separating Koyato makes me soooo sad. And I wonder who came to help Shige, but I think that person which is rather unknown makes it more interesting...
